If you are a music lover who is seeking out a new place to enjoy live performances, you are in luck.
Housed within Gillman Barracks, the newly opened The Blackbird is a live music bar and restaurant that will let guests feast on a variety of Western food offerings while being entertained by familiar names from Singapore's music scene.
A joint venture between musician and guitar shop owner Surath Godfrey, Kanshoku Ramen co-founder Brandon Leung, Timbre Group founder and CEO Danny Loong, and lawyer and Pangdemonium chairman Raeza Ibrahim, the venue is described as an "iconic new music space" set up by a group of live music lovers.

Aside from tribute sets themed after famed musicians, The Blackbird will also feature performances of funk, soul, and blues tunes. From 27 April to 29 April, guests can expect to be treated to music from acts such as Surath and Rene, Shirlyn & The UnXpected, and Jack & Rai ft. EIC.
On 30 April, The Blackbird will celebrate its grand opening with a special Beatles-themed night, which is set to feature performances from PennyLane and The Day Trippers.
