Reflections

Autumn Atlantic

Release Date:2020-05-25

In early May 2020, Singapore pop punk band, Autumn Atlantic, released their single track titled ‘Give Me A Summer’ leading up to the release of their EP titled 'Reflections'. The band’s early years were spent on Singapore’s gigging circuit performing and engaging listeners with their music. Picking things up from where they left off after years of hiatus, the band announced its return with a five-track EP. Founding members of the band, Jeff Alsufiean and Syamin Musa, wrote materials for the EP from 2018 to 2019 and enlisted the help of long-time friend and former drummer of Attention! The New Portsdown, Faizal Osman, to shore up the band’s creativity department. The trio hopes to showcase its own brand of rock and pop punk through the EP which they feel is a reflection of the band’s identity. 'Reflections' is available on all major streaming platforms. Tracklist 1. Yesterday, Today and Always (My Heart) 2. Break Free 3. Give Me a Summer 4. Great Ocean Road 5. Dance Rock

Listening to Yesterday, Today and Always is so catchy. The chorus is so addictive. In addition the the punk rock sound, the lyrics is in depth, relating to break ups and moving on. The addition of violin sound in one of the song (Break Free) reminds me of Yellowcard days, something that i would love to listen to again and again. Certainly an album to go on repeat over and over again. Melodies to keep you moving, lyrics to keep you reminiscing. Can’t wait to listen what’s next in store for them because this album is awesome. Drums, bass, guitars and vocals. I wish CoVid is over so i can see them live!!!

Reflections really made me go on a nostalgic journey back to my school days where pop punk/punk rock strongly influenced basically everything i did! The upbeat tracks combined with meaningful and relevant lyrics, were reminiscent of sounds from Yellowcard and All Time Low, and i feel Autumn Atlantic did them justice with these tracks. A great mix of music, song-writing and talent. I wouldnt mind listening to their tracks Yesterday, Today and Always! 😊
