The Baybeats Budding Bands 2019 programme saw many up-and-coming artists and groups competing to score a coveted 30-minute set at the 18th edition of Singapore's biggest independent music festival. After rounds of gruelling auditions, six bands are now set to play at the Baybeats 2019 music festival happening this month.
The Final List of the mentorship programme was revealed earlier this year in May. The bands poised to take the stages of Baybeats by storm include math-rock instrumentalists cues, experimental post-rock band Summations, dream-pop darlings The New Modern Lights, deathcore veterans No Rest For The Weary, ambient rock group Plate, as well as indie outfit Cinnamon Persimmon.
The bands battled it out at the auditions to make it out on top, and they will, deservedly, be playing at the festival alongside other local and regional acts such as LEW, Ramengvrl, Rudra, Sobs, and Stopgap.
Below is a playlist to get you familiarised with the six Budding Bands ahead of Baybeats 2019.
Baybeats 2019 will take place from 23 to 25 August 2019 at the Esplanade. Admission is free. For latest updates and more information, visit the official Baybeats page here.
