June has come and gone, and with it, a great curation of live music in Singapore. Fret not, though, as the month of July is doubling up on the action with performances from Kin Leonn, Forests, Caracal, Marijannah and more.

Commune Album Launch by Kin Leonn


When: 5 July
Where: Esplanade Recital Studio

Commune, the debut album by Singaporean producer and musician Kin Leonn invites the interrogation of established definitions: What is music? What is ambient? The ground-up examination of these terms is crucial to understanding the 10-track collection that was released into the ether in 2018. 

This July, Kin Leonn will bring Commune to life at the Esplanade Recital Studio, as part of the Mosaic Music Series.

Dogswain presents Forests, Terrible People, Blood Pact & Susurrus

When: 5 July
Where: Decline 

Four Singaporean bands will open for Hong Kong's Wellsaid this July. One of those four bands, Forests, will be playing its last show for the foreseeable future, as they go on hiatus. Blood Pact, on the other hand, will be making its live debut, playings its first ever show. Trust us when we say: You don't want to miss this show.

YAMAHA LIVE SESSIONS

Where: The Substation

Yamaha launches its latest musical instruments with their original “Live” Sessions. Join masterclasses, conducted by their very own ambassadors & endorsees, throughout the day as they show you, in detail, what makes Yamaha’s finest their choice of instruments as well as their very own techniques, practice routines and Live playing experiences. But it doesn’t end there! Local artists The Freshmen, LEW and .gif take to the stage in the evening to regale you with a Live concert that only Yamaha can deliver!

Emofest


When: 20 July

All funds from ticket sales for this non-profit event after paying for the venue will be donated to charity groups or foundations as chosen by the bands performing at the event. For one night, eight local bands will travel back in time and play the role of their favorite emo/pop-punk band from high school. They will each sweat it out for a nostalgic forty minute set of epic and classic jams by the band they're representing.

Daily Essentials

Where: Esplanade Annexe Studio

Join Singapore’s post-hardcore stalwarts Caracal as they celebrate the first series of Daily Essentials with food, beverage, art and music on 21st July at Esplanade’s Annexe Studio. This all ages lineup includes Marijannah and HRVST.
