This year, SingNation! 2025 is part of SING60 — Voices of Singapore’s special celebration of SG60, commemorating 60 years of nationhood through the power of communal singing. To celebrate Singapore’s SG60, the Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra (ACSO) is bringing Musical Mosaics: Imagineasian to Victoria Concert Hall on 10 August. This special edition of the concert series unites composers and soloists from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia in a vibrant showcase of Southeast Asian musical traditions, blending instruments like the khaen, serunai, bansuri, and tro sao with a full symphonic sound. The Substation celebrates its 35th anniversary as an independent arts development company as they present one of Singapore’s most prolific singer-songwriters in Leslie Low - who also marks his 35 years in music. Passing is a lyrical and sonic journey through Leslie's indie-pop and soft rock reflections as an artist growing up, living in, and experiencing Singapore. Reaching back to his first album A Walking Purgatory (1999) to his latest effort Chimera (2024), Leslie has handpicked personal favourites from his solo repertoire, including a previously unreleased track, for this special 80-minute show – performed by Leslie on guitar, with guests Sean Lam (Concave Scream, Hanging Up the Moon) and Alexius Cai (Piblokto).

Get ready to embark on an unforgettable cross-cultural journey with Tempest and Tranquility, presented by Siong Leng Musical Association. The show captures the bold collaboration between the ancient sound of Nanyin and the vibrant pulses of Indian music. Composed by Ng Kang Kee, the Music Director at Siong Leng, the show features lead vocalist Lim Ming Yi, Nanyin Erxian artist Joel Chia, and renowned tabla player, Nawaz Mirajkar. The River Remembers – A Multidisciplinary Tribute to SG60

In a landmark SG60 tribute, Ding Yi Music Company joins forces with Dance Ensemble Singapore (DES) and visionary theatre director Goh Boon Teck for The River Remembers — a multidisciplinary spectacle weaving Chinese chamber music, dance, and theatre into a single, emotionally charged narrative. Tracing the transformation of the Singapore River from lifeblood of trade to national symbol, the production stars Sharon Au in the role of the "Mother River" — a moving embodiment of memory and change. Conducted by Wong De Li, Dedric, and featuring music from Cultural Medallion recipient Law Wai Lun, this new work reimagines Ding Yi’s 2019 River of Life into something even more ambitious. National Day Concert 2025

The 8th SSO National Day Concert celebrates Singapore’s 60th birthday with a wide-ranging showcase of Singapore’s growing league of composers and musical artists. Displaying the brilliance of the phenomenal Singaporean saxophonist Lin Chien-Kwan and violinist Jonathan Ong, the programme features classics by Singaporean composers as well as new works, including an arrangement of songs by Charlie Lim and Dick Lee for voices and orchestra. Local comedy trio rathmock are inviting fans into their wonderfully weird world with an EP launch show happening at Room 526 on 23 August. Rediscovering Chinese Music

As part of SG60 celebrations, Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) presents the Rediscovering Chinese Music concert, which pays tribute to the early pioneers who overcame challenges and laid a strong foundation for the evolution of the Chinese music scene in Singapore between 1950s and 1970s. Curated by Phoon Yew Tien, conducted by Mike Chiang and performed by Chang Chun Chinese Orchestra, this concert seeks to rekindle the spirit of perseverance and dedication shown by these pioneers by recreating the artistic essence of the early days of Chinese orchestral concerts with ensemble pieces, instrumental solos, and vocal performances.
