Fever's celebrated Candlelight Concerts series is back in 2025 and music lovers can expect to be mesmerised by classical renditions of tunes from beloved films, hits from some of the biggest names from the international music scene, and more. This year is all about tributes to legendary music soundtracks in movies and dramas by the likes of Hans Zimmer, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran & more.


Phil Studio & EXFiL Records presents: 820 Days Away

Phil Studio and EXFiL Records are bringing the feels with 820 Days Away, a heartfelt Midwest emo show on a mission to remember those we've lost touch with but still hold close. Featuring performances by fern, Jimbo, Pretty Girls Cry, Wallfly, and Mondae, the night promises catharsis, connection, and community through soaring guitars and shared emotion. Early ticket holders can claim a FREE Limited Edition Wishing Bottle, where you can pen your "Last Goodbyes" and take home a personal keepsake. 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of both Singapore's independence and the Singapore Conference Hall, home of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO). To celebrate this diamond jubilee, the SCO, led by Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong, will present a nostalgic musical journey featuring renowned tabla player Nawaz Mirajkar and percussionist Riduan Zalani, accompanied by historical photographs from Singapore Press Holdings that revisit the nation's story.


Subsonic Eye presents 'Singapore Dreaming' album launch

Subsonic Eye returns to the stage on 25 July, at Aliwal Arts Centre to celebrate the launch of their highly anticipated new album 'Singapore Dreaming.' The evening promises an immersive live experience as the band performs the album in full, accompanied by a special opening set from Singaporean post-punk trio Cave Sex, known for their raw, industrial-tinged sound.


SNYCO x SCO Presents Legacy III

Legacy III, happening on 26 July at the SCO Concert Hall, unites the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) and Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra (SNYCO) in a moving showcase of intergenerational artistry. Conducted by Quek Ling Kiong, the annual side-by-side concert shines a spotlight on tradition, mentorship, and youth talent. This year, a touching story unfolds onstage as veteran erhu musician Shen Qin performs with her sons — Zeng Canran (18), Erhu I Principal, and Zeng Haoran (15), Erhu II Associate Principal — both decorated winners of the Singapore Chinese Music Competition. From training under their mother to sharing the stage at last year’s Trials and Tribulations premiere, their journey culminates once more in a powerful performance that bridges legacy and love.


 NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations

The NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations is back to mark Singapore’s 60th birthday with a lively tribute to youth and nationhood at Promontory @ Marina Bay. Held across 26 July, 2 August, and 9 August, the festival spotlights the theme "Majulah SG Youth" showcasing a stellar lineup of homegrown talent including ShiGGa Shay, Regina Song, Shazza, Estelle Fly, and Shabir Sulthan, alongside SMU SoundFoundry, DJ Red, DJ Caden, NTU MJ, and O School. Beyond the stage, fans can dive into interactive installations like "The Future We Create" and "Dream Exchange", explore NTUC’s youth-forward booths, and witness the symbolic "Building Singapore’s Hopes and Moving Dreams Forward" moment. Entry is free via ticket ballot.


SG60 Homecoming Concert

Changi Airport Group, in partnership with Jewel Changi Airport, is marking Singapore’s 60th birthday with a series of free public events throughout July and August. The highlight is a free concert scheduled for 1 August at Jewel, headlined by Stefanie Sun and Kit Chan alongside Sezairi, Regina Song, Mandopop folk duo The Freshman, and pop band SuperSonic. Tickets will be allocated via ballot. In addition, immersive light shows and other festive activities will take place in and around the airport, celebrating Changi’s growth alongside the nation and inviting both locals and travelers to join in the SG60 festivity.


Chamber Charms: Pizzicato

Pizzicato highlights the talent of young musicians from the SCO plucked string section through an energetic and vibrant concert featuring a range of musical arrangements and ensemble sizes. Jointly curated by Plucked String Section Leader and Sanxian Principal Huang Guifang, Yangqin Principal Qu Jianqing, and Pipa Principal Yu Jia, the performance showcases specially selected plucked string and mixed ensemble pieces.


SingNation! 2025

This year, SingNation! 2025 is part of SING60Voices of Singapore’s special celebration of SG60, commemorating 60 years of nationhood through the power of communal singing. Jointly organised by Voices of Singapore (VOS) and Perennial Holdings Private Limited, this free community event invites all to come together in song and spirit, celebrating our shared identity through beloved National Day classics. The hour-long programme will be led by Joyce Ang (Voices of Singapore Ladies Choir), VOS conductor Sean Foo and local band The Passerby, with songs helmed by the VOS State Choirs. Audiences can look forward to an engaging experience, from singing in parts and mass choreography to interactive games.


Beauty Fades, Pain Lasts Forever

Fresh off announcing their signing to US indie label Kanine Records and an American tour, Singaporean indie faves Blush are giving fans a first live listen to their brand new album Beauty Fades, Pain Lasts Forever. They’ll be joined by emo-math mainstays Forests, dreamy shoegazers feelslikeyou and Baybeats Budding Bands 2025 hopefuls freereina! — a stacked lineup that promises nothing short of an emotional whirlwind.


Musical Mosaics: Imagineasian

To celebrate Singapore’s SG60, the Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra (ACSO) is bringing Musical Mosaics: Imagineasian to Victoria Concert Hall on 10 August. This special edition of the concert series unites composers and soloists from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia in a vibrant showcase of Southeast Asian musical traditions, blending instruments like the khaen, serunai, bansuri, and tro sao with a full symphonic sound. Audiences can expect standout works like Tekka Theka by Wang Chenwei, and Gourmet Paradise by Cultural Medallion recipient Dr. Eric Watson—a three-part tribute to Singaporean food culture. The night closes with When Rivers Remember by Germaine Goh, a symbolic ensemble finale celebrating unity through sound.


Passing – Leslie Low in Concert for The Substation's 35th Year

The Substation celebrates its 35th anniversary as an independent arts development company as they present one of Singapore’s most prolific singer-songwriters in Leslie Low - who also marks his 35 years in music. Passing is a lyrical and sonic journey through Leslie's indie-pop and soft rock reflections as an artist growing up, living in, and experiencing Singapore. Reaching back to his first album A Walking Purgatory (1999) to his latest effort Chimera (2024), Leslie has handpicked personal favourites from his solo repertoire, including a previously unreleased track, for this special 80-minute show – performed by Leslie on guitar, with guests Sean Lam (Concave Scream, Hanging Up the Moon) and Alexius Cai (Piblokto).


Tempest & Tranquility

Get ready to embark on an unforgettable cross-cultural journey with Tempest and Tranquility, presented by Siong Leng Musical Association. The show captures the bold collaboration between the ancient sound of Nanyin and the vibrant pulses of Indian music. Composed by Ng Kang Kee, the Music Director at Siong Leng, the show features lead vocalist Lim Ming Yi, Nanyin Erxian artist Joel Chia, and renowned tabla player, Nawaz Mirajkar. During the show, the music aims to create a story beyond rhythm and melody. It encapsulates the kinship between the two traditions steeped in ritual, and rooted in contemplation. It tells a story of longing, resilience, and renewal. This is not merely a performance, but a meditation in motion and a shared breath between the two worlds. 


Tsung Yeh and SCO: Li Bochan Music Composition Showcase

Conductor Emeritus Tsung Yeh returns to lead a thrilling concert in collaboration with acclaimed Chinese orchestral composer Li Bochan, featuring a selection of Li's recent concerto and ensemble works. The star-studded performance includes renowned international musicians like banhu master Shen Cheng, suona virtuoso Shi Haibin, and members of the SCO, promising a dynamic showcase of musical mastery.


The River Remembers – A Multidisciplinary Tribute to SG60

In a landmark SG60 tribute, Ding Yi Music Company joins forces with Dance Ensemble Singapore (DES) and visionary theatre director Goh Boon Teck for The River Remembers — a multidisciplinary spectacle weaving Chinese chamber music, dance, and theatre into a single, emotionally charged narrative. Tracing the transformation of the Singapore River from lifeblood of trade to national symbol, the production stars Sharon Au in the role of the "Mother River" — a moving embodiment of memory and change. Conducted by Wong De Li, Dedric, and featuring music from Cultural Medallion recipient Law Wai Lun, this new work reimagines Ding Yi’s 2019 River of Life into something even more ambitious. Expect stirring visuals, bold storytelling, and a moving reminder of Singapore’s evolving identity — told through a powerful fusion of art forms.


The Theatre Practice presents Partial Eclipse Of The Hear《逆光》

Every decade, five friends reunite at the same seaside chalet—under the shadow of an eclipse—to reflect on their lives, from youthful recklessness to adult reality. Told with humour, heart, and a heavy dose of nostalgia, this brand-new jukebox musical captures the growing pains and enduring friendships that define Singapore’s journey. Featuring beloved Mandopop hits from icons like Stefanie Sun, Tanya Chua, and Jimmy Ye, plus a brand-new song by Xiaohan and Julian Wong, the production stars Joanna Dong, Derrick Hoh, Ric Liu, Jean Seizure, and Chriz Tong. Directed by Kuo Jian Hong with a story by Jonathan Lim and Ng Mun Poh, it's a heartwarmingly irreverent celebration of life, love, and the melodies that never leave us.


Chamber Charms: Virtuosic Winds

SCO's Wind Section returns with Chamber Charms: Virtuosic Winds, presenting a vibrant showcase of Chinese orchestral classics that highlight the expressive power of wind instruments. Featuring pieces such as 'Theme of Pioneers', 'Grand Prelude', 'Farewell at Yangguan', and 'Autumn Yearning at the Dressing Table', the concert captures the lyrical beauty and dynamic energy of traditional Chinese winds, promising to captivate audiences once again after its 2021 premiere.


Ancient Moon, Present Light

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with Ancient Moon, Present Light, a festive concert by the SCO under Associate Conductor Moses Gay. Part of the Mid-Autumn Family FUN series by SCO and the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, the evening features beloved tunes perfect for all ages and a special performance of 'Zhang Zhao’s Moon Song' by zhongruan musician Ngeow Si Ming Jonathan, offering a joyful and educational musical experience for families and friends.


Hits of Classics by Singapore Chinese Orchestra

Hits of Classics 2025 returns with a fresh new format, inviting audiences to vote for their top 10 favourite titan composers in the Chinese orchestral world. Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong will bring their most iconic works to life in this special concert, jointly presented by the SCO and Lianhe Zaobao.


Taufik Batisah: One Last Dance

Taufik Batisah: One Last Dance is not just a concert. It is a moment of gratitude. After years of collaborations, awards, and chart-topping releases, this concert is Taufik's personal thank you to the fans who have supported him from his Singapore Idol days to today. The show will feature a specially curated setlist of fan favourites across both his English and Malay discography, reimagined with new arrangements, visuals, and storytelling elements that reflect the artist he has become. With the possibility that this may be his final full-scale solo concert, One Last Dance promises to be an emotional and powerful celebration of music, legacy and connection. 


Chamber Charms: Virtuosic Bowed Strings

Chamber Charms: Virtuosic Bowed Strings returns after its 2021 premiere, showcasing the expressive beauty of Chinese bowed strings with SCO huqin masters Li Baoshun and Zhao Jianhua. The concert features beloved works by Liu Tianhua—including 'Song for New Year's Eve', 'Towards A Bright Future', and 'Hymn of Idleness'—alongside favourites like 'Nostalgia', 'Farewell at Yangguan Pass', and 'Ballad of Yubei', performed in both ensemble and erhu solo formats to stir the soul with every bow stroke.


Yan Huichang and Singapore Chinese Orchestra 2025

Following last season’s rousing success, Maestro Yan Huichang returns with another captivating concert featuring his signature repertoire made famous by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. This performance includes the Singapore premiere of 'Tang Resonating' by Hong Kong composer Ng Cheuk Yin, as well as Pipa Principal Yu Jia’s rendition of Zhao Jiping’s 'Pipa Concerto No. 2', also premiering in Singapore.


Percussion Rhapsody by Singapore Chinese Orchestra

Showcasing the rising stars of the national orchestra, this concert features homegrown talents Associate Conductor Moses Gay, percussionist Derek Koh, and zhonghu musician Wong Qin Kai. Together, they will present the Singapore premieres of Chen Yi's 'Percussion Concerto' and Wang Jianmin's 'Erhu Rhapsody No. 6', highlighting the brilliance of a new generation of SCO musicians and celebrating the best of local talent.
