Mina Kaye, Benjamin Chow, Seong Hui Xuan, and more to join Singapore's first and only musical theatre festival

Calling all musical theatre lovers, performers, and anyone in between, Sing’theatre is holding the Musical Theatre Fringe Fest (MTFF) this July! 

Packed with a diverse assortment of 16 shows, 7 workshops, as well as 10 talks and events, the event is slated to occur from 22nd July to 7th August

“Singapore has a thriving Musical Theatre scene but the genre has never been solely celebrated with a festival of its own.” says Festival Artistic Director, TJ Taylor, “through this festival, I wanted to shine a fabulous spotlight and provide a platform for performers of all backgrounds to share their works, develop their skills, and increase the exposure of Musical Theatre to audiences in Singapore.” 

Through MTFF, audiences can look forward to award-winning international actress, Mina Kaye, as the cast of [title of show], one of the headline shows for the event. Holding three shows across 23rd and 24th July, tickets are currently available here at S$34 per ticket ‘till 30th June and S$40 thereafter. 

Additionally, standout talents like Benjamin Chow and Seong Hui Xuan will be taking on MTFF’s second headline show from 6th August to 7th August. In Pieces explores the romantic lives of 8 starkly different individuals in New York. 

Similarly, early bird tickets are now on sale here at S$34 and will be priced at S$40 after 30th June

Nathalie Ribette, Artistic and Executive Director of Sing'theatre explains, “Through the festival, we hope to raise appreciation of the musical theatre genre and enrich the local arts scene through education and shared cultural experiences for artists and the community.”
