The New Modern Lights

The second single from the upcoming 'The Distance Between Us' EP finds the band in more alternative-rock territory as reverb-laden guitars embellish a warm, enveloping bass motif. This is punctuated by the chorus section, with overdriven guitars coming to the forefront accentuated by a belted vocal section with harmonies provided by Coming Up Roses vocalist Emily Sera. A highlight of this track is the song's middle section which features a bass solo from Adriel Ong. The song’s lyrics explores themes of isolation and reunification, perhaps fitting for the times that we live in.
