BUAT APE? is Malay for "for what?" or "what are you doing?". The essence of this song is about me questioning clout culture and the purpose of chasing numbers if there's no real love. This was spilled in both English & Malay - because of the traditional sound of this song, it was my form of paying homage to my culture as a Malay-Sikh Singaporean.
