The word undercurrents, a plural form of undercurrent, can be easily defined as currents, as of air or water, that flow below the upper currents or surface. We felt connected to this word in many ways. One of which is that we liken ourselves to the waves, the energy that moves through water in the ocean, independent of the undercurrents that exist beneath the surface. These are metaphors for the world, our existence and experiences. The five tracks—Gone, Wander, What is Beauty?, Deepest Blue and Counting Ships—depicts acceptance, inquisition, and tenacity through poignant lyrics and rousing musical layers.
