Refresh is a song about being apathetic towards irrelevant opinions and people. The songwriting process started from the catchy hook in the chorus which then developed into a fully fledged piece. Lyrics were added afterwards that would capture the bubbly energy in the song. The song is the second single and is a huge shift in tone compared to the first, "Circuit Breaker".
