Annette Lee releases a new single, web series, and more

Annette Lee is a lot bigger than the dorky persona, Sue Ann, that she projects on SGAG. Behind the comic portrayal that most people know her for, lies a filmmaker and singer-songwriter. One wonders if there is nothing she can’t do, except - perhaps, do ten burpees in a row.

She released her latest single, ‘Song for the Underdog’, last Friday (24/1), and the spirited artist has kept busy since.

From a new web-series on SGAG’s channel, an EP entitled Song for the Underdog, and an offline event called ‘Party for the Underdog’. Find out more about what she will be putting out below.

Web series

The web-series is based on the story of the Beaunite girls, which went viral 2 years ago. Prior to working on the series, Annette spoke with the Beaunite girls. The webseries imagines what their life would be like 3 to 5 years after being cyber-bullied online. With three weekly episodes starting from 4 February, Annette has crafted the upcoming web-series in her trademark style of viral humour. Watch the trailer below.

Song for the Underdog EP

Grammy-winning producer Jerricho Scroggins worked on Annette’s sophomore EP, which will also serve as the soundtrack of the new web series.
