Sun Cell - Movements (In The Dark) Album Launch

Singapore-based artist Sun Cell draws inspiration from ’80s new wave and post-punk to explore themes of yearning and melancholia in his debut album Movements (In The Dark). To celebrate its release, Sun Cell will host a dynamic two-part performance at Esplanade Annexe Studio, highlighting the album’s dual themes and featuring guest artists. Opened by shoegaze act Nosedive, the show, inspired by the story of his grandparents, promises an emotional journey through life’s highs and lows, for one night only.

Dreamscapes: Pang Kapang and SCO

Singapore, a melting pot of East and West, is celebrated in a programme curated by SCO Yangqin Principal Qu Jianqing. Renowned conductor Pang Kapang will lead SCO in performing two of his commissioned works by Macao Chinese Orchestra and Suzhou Chinese Orchestra, Macao Capriccio and Gan Jiang Mo Ye Fantasia. SCO Erhu musician Xu Wenjing will also be performing the technically challenging erhu concerto 'Dreamscapes', written by Liu Changyuan.
She Shines Music Festival

She Shines Music Festival returns for its second edition, spotlighting women in Singapore's music scene. This free event features a diverse lineup of soloists, bands, and singer-songwriters across genres from classical and pop to jazz, R&B, and rock. Performers include indie artist Krysta Joy, prog-rock quintet Taledrops, retro soul collective Flower Power, electrifying rock band Chop Swee, the Amanda Lee Swingtet, and looping violinist Bellwether Bayou.
