Narelle Kheng of The Sam Willows has stepped into the solo spotlight with the release of a new single, 'Outta My Head'.
Over electropop-inspired, bass-heavy and synth-tinged melodies, Narelle laments about the struggles of moving out of the dark emotional sphere after a painful experience.
Narelle worked with several notable producers such as Shalom "J. Storm" Miller (Missy Elliot, Diddy, Gwen Stefani) and Brett "White Noise" White (Halsey), as well as songwriters Ryan Yates (Katja Gliesen) and Litens Anton Nilsson (Icona Pop, Astrid S) when she was in Los Angeles last November.
"I had been hitting a creative block, and was so nervous walking into the session that it was just an explosion of emotions, and somehow, they vibed with it. So we just ran with it and finished writing the song in 4 hours. It was a very emotional night", she revealed, in an official release.
