(Associate Editor) Halal Sol - Only One With its cascading hi-hats and luscious breaks in between verses, Halal Sol further clarifies the zeitgeist he’s plugged himself into with his recent releases - a swanky repertoire of ‘ol-school cool’ house tracks ready to be whipped out from the back-pocket. ‘Only One’ is a natural progression from earlier EP Dijamin, and sticks out from FuFu Records’ compilation, 88 Double Happiness Vol. 3, as the most palatable of the lot. And while it won’t rattle cages, Sol seems like he’s not done just yet.
