Insomnia has an amazing upbeat track, slightly psychedelic and electronic, showing the sparks and the bubbling feeling of falling in love. The chorus can put a smile on the face on any listener, bringing out the feeling of young love and simpler times. It is definitely interesting to note the sadder parts of the song which includes the self reproach of not reaching out to grab the happiness that one could have gotten. This brings the song to another level and joins different thought processes together. The song ends with a quiet determination and persistence, showing that the singer has never given up on the mystery person that had slowly wormed their way into her heart, suiting the feeling of young stubbornness perfectly.
