Budding Singapore-based neo-soul experimental group Electric8 gets on stage and performs “One Step Forward”. Co-produced by lo-fi favourite Taiyo Ky, vocalist Rachelle takes us on a reflective journey backed only by a soulful piano, organs and piercing cellos in the first half. We then followed up with an 8-minute long trip hop story in "Shadow of the Enchantress" in collaboration with lo-fi favourite Taiyo Ky. “Head into the Rain” is an uplifting new jack swing era-inspired RnB ballad with a title paying tribute to one of the songs of conscious hip hop legends A Tribe Called Quest. Speaking of tributes… our name itself is an homage to 8 of the ?uestlove-led Soulquarians who recorded at Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios in New York, and went onto their mark on the music industry in the early 2000s. … Stay Electric.
