To be the Voice of Nature is to speak for the nature and all creations who cannot speak for themselves and to protect the nature and our survival. I say it best with my music. I found my calling in music and this song says it all. My original song, “The Giving Tree” The song draws its inspiration from one of my favourite children book "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein. The Giving Tree story is about the unconditional love and sacrifice of the Tree for the Boy that moves me so much. It was composed for a documentary film by Ngee Ann Polytechnic directed by Cedric Koh about Shirley as the environmental enthusiast & singer-songwriter, “The Voice of Nature”. "The Voice of Nature" has went on to achieve the Honourable mention in Student World Impact Film Festival 2022 & was selected for StreetSide Cinema Film Festival in Winston- Salem, NC in 2022. My wish for this song is to hope that it reminds us that together we can all make a difference in making this world a better home to live in harmony. Let's live a more sustainable lifestyle with gratitude to the nature.
