Electronic music veteran (and Bandwagon fave) Intriguant has been a little quite on the release front since his exceptional Routines EP dropped last year. Well, good things come to those who wait, because his newest effort is a double-sided beaut.
This time, the Singaporean DJ and producer joins forces with Japanese jazz pianist and composer Aya Sekine, an internationally renowned musician who is now based in Detroit.
Sparked from a conversation in Kyoto, Japan about their aspirations in life, art and music - the pair's collaboration is about "life's unexpected turns and how we navigate these currents with time".
"'Memory / Deiji' revolves around melodic sequences and bass driven rhythms with lushful soundscapes, with influences from jazz, ambient, downtempo and broken beats," the duo reveals.
This dual single is out now on all streaming platforms. The release can also be purchased on Bandcamp.
