After four months of hard work and mentorship, the Mandopop songwriting competition SG:SW I Write The Songs 2025 is finally coming to a close as they are set to hold their finale concert at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre Far East Organisation Auditorium on 11 October.

The ninth installement of the competition proved to be a special one as the lineup of contestants feature some of the youngest to qualify for the finals throughout the whole run of the competiton. Previously, the participants took the stage at Bugis+ Atrium, for the Live Showcase component where the top 24 contestant showcased their songwriting talents and were judged by Zennoh Goh, Wilson Tan, Derrick Tham, Zhang Si’Er, and Lin Si Tong who shortlisted the 10 most promising talents to be featured as finalists. The Live Showcase also included performances by local talents, Jordin Tan and xxmxrcs.
With the 10 skillfull finalists chosen, the finale concert is sure to be a close fight as it sees the judging panel that features, Singapore Cultural Medallion Award recipient Dr Liang Wern Fook, renowned music producer Zennon Goh, acclaimed Taiwanese lyricist Louise Lou, award-winning Taiwanese composer Meilinbear, and Mediacorp personality Zhong Kunhua, will be selecting six of the 10 to emerge victorious in various categories. The categories include, Best Song, Lyrics (Merit), Melody (Merit), Best Vocal Performance, Best Performing Band, and Popularity (Public Voting).
Audiences can also look forward to performances by local singer-songwriter and SG:SW I Write The Songs 2025 Ambassador Elton Lee, and Mandopop duo The Freshman.
