The various artist-themed rooms will be accessible to fans from 29 September to November in the first Sonic Garden Season, which is an amazing digital concert space inspired by Singapore’s Garden City, complete with a floating Marina Bay Sands.

With each room, fans connect with the featured musicians through uncovering personal mementos and anecdotes from the artists, and collecting limited-edition digital tokens that add another layer of fun and curiosity to supporting your favourite artists or discovering new ones.

Founder of Bandwagon Labs, Clarence Chan, shares his exceitement about the overflowing creativity of the platform as he shares, “VGIG reimagines how fans and artists can connect in an imaginative world. By combining interactive play, digital collectibles, and virtual spaces, VGIG creates new opportunities for artists and unforgettable ways for fans to explore, collect, and connect.”

At the crux of VGIG’s many virtual collectibles are the exclusive digital card packs that fans can unwrap to reveal an artist photocard and an artist-designed wearable, both in varying rarities, plus a raffle ticket for the chance to attend a live concert featuring all Sonic Garden artists that will be held on 4 December at Marina Bay Sands.

Fans can buy multiple card packs to increase their chances of scoring the golden ticket to join an unforgettable night of spectacular music and live performances.

In addition to these features, VGIG also offers the opportunity for fans to catch their favourite artists go live within VGIG with the artist livestream function. The featured musicians can go live using their webcam feed appearing above their avatar, creating another immersive and interactive way for fans to connect with their favourite artists.

With this arsenal of digital interactions, VGIG truly evolves the culture of live performances and artist-fan interactions—taking it to a whole new level.

Backed by the National Arts Council’s Project Arts Metaverse and Marina Bay Sands, VGIG was hailed in Parliament by Senior Minister of State Low Yen Ling as a milestone project bridging arts and technology to resonate with younger audiences.

NAC’s Director of Technology & Innovation, Victor Ang explains the decision behind supporting this endeavour as he says, “VGIG, the second pilot under the Project Arts Metaverse initiative, showcases how the creative use of technology can make the arts more engaging and accessible. Besides exploring new platforms for artists to connect with audiences, we are happy that our support has also enabled artists to build capabilities and confidence in the digital realm as they cater to different audience preferences.”

Assistant Vice President of Sales and MICE at Marina Bay Sands, Genevieve Lim adds, "We are proud to champion the homegrown music scene through the VGIG, which mirrors our vision of the metaverse as an extension of physical venues to enhance guest experiences, and complements our ongoing efforts with initiatives such as I PLAY SG Music, where local music is the default playlist for events and piped around our venue."

VGIG has stepped up to be a platform that represents Singapore’s homegrown music scene while reimagining how fans and artists connect. By presenting phygital experiences through gamification, VGIG transforms passive viewing into active participation, deepening engagement and creating more memorable experiences for audiences and organisers.
