SINGATHON returns for its fifth year on 1 December, hosting a 12-hour music marathon as part of Giving Week, organized by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC). The event aims to raise $60,000 to fund Sing’theatre’s Community Outreach Programme, which delivers live music to underserved communities, especially within hospitals and healthcare institutions.
Held at the International French School of Singapore, 1 December, from 10AM to 10PM, SINGATHON 2024 will feature over 200 performers from various genres, including jazz, pop, salsa, and rock. Performances will stream live on YouTube and Facebook, allowing fans to join from anywhere.
Highlights of the event include a special performance from Maya Raisha, along with renowned local artists Cat Ong, Danny Koh, David Ng, and Hillary Francis. SINGATHON will also showcase The Sampaguitas, a choir of foreign domestic workers managed by Sing’theatre, uniting members through weekly song sessions.
Proceeds will support impactful programs like MusicFest@SGH, Once Upon a Song, and Melody at the Wards, which bring live music to hospitals throughout Singapore, benefiting patients, families, and healthcare workers. Admission is free, with donations encouraged to reach the funding goal. To support SINGATHON, visit Giving.sg.
