'Agnar of Helmfirth' is the debut album from progressive-instrumental band Bowden, consisting of only drums and bass guitar. The album begins with 'Pelagius', titled after the story’s fantasy world, an apt introduction to highlight the musical aesthetics of the band, followed by 'Fate of Helmfirth' that starts of jovial, before slamming into a doomy outro. Agnar then begins his journey proper, as portrayed by 'Dhunwick Pass', 'Voidmane's Call' and 'Adamantine'. 'Prepare the Solstice' serves as an intermission for the album, before the protagonist goes to battle in the ominous soundscapes of 'Strife of Cleethorpes', 'Spires of Sazh'eth' and 'Wrath of Vinz’ak'. Finally, the album ends with 'Abdication', which was released as a single, where Agnar seals his fate through sacrifice.
