Immunity

Immunity is a song that I envision playing in clubs and intimate events, where people do not all know each other but would like to get to know each other. There is a hesitance to it, like how I alluded in the song where there is some form of build up in the beginning whereby one's heart tends to race when spotting someone they want to get to know more about, and then seeking out their romantic attention subtly. The chorus is chill yet dancible, as I want to maintain that hazy and drunk feeling of trying to work up the courage (or one's "Immunity") as one would do in social events with alcohol, to bring the yet unknown person into your orbit. The metaphor of "building immunity" comes from the process of building up your relations with the person of interest whereby one does not feel so hesitant and afraid of them any more, that they become someone you fall head over heels with and can openly and transparently demonstrate it. The song's 1st, 2nd and 3rd verse shows the process of one gravitating closer towards their love interest. The first verse shows us how the singer is still staking out her interest, not sure if knows when is the perfect time to approach them; almost terrified they will leave in her process of working up her immunity towards this person. The second verse then sees the singer's lust and intoxication for her person brings her closer to them. The third verse shows that she in fact had nothing to worry about and that she has build immunity towards them, know being able to be so comfortable with them to the point whereby her person of interest is more involved with her then she is.
