A song that reminds us that it’s okay to grieve and be sad when we experience loss. The arrangement and melody of the song give off a slow and jazzy vibe which is very soothing to listen to. Amanda also shows vulnerability through her lyrics and performance of her song. Definitely recommend this song to anyone who has experienced loss because this song makes you feel like you’re getting a hug from a friend or drinking a cup of hot cocoa.

Never Get Over You is a heartfelt original by Amanda Germaine Lee, a talented local singer whose personal story is filled with many ups and downs. The reflective ballad offers a window into Lee's personal struggles, in particular the loss of her father not too long ago. The rawness of those emotions comes through with each word that Lee sings, and her courage in putting those emotions on display in her first-ever original single is to be commended. I hope to see more from Lee and also to see her experiment more with her music, perhaps moving away from the pop world she is deeply fond of and blending genres and musical sensibilities. All in all, I'm excited to see what the future holds for Lee and her career.

Amanda's "Never Get Over You" is a mellow song about never getting over someone. It's a song that is relevant to many of us. People come and go in our lives and sometimes when we think we can let go, the memories come back again. Highly recommend it! =D
