3 Singaporeans produced and co-composed 'Transformers One' song by G(I)-DLE's YUQI

G(I)-DLE member YUQI (and vocal Bumblebee fan) recently contributed a wonderful song for the Transformers One animated film.

Entitled 'ONE', the track was both produced and composed by Singaporean songwriter Hubert Ng (who also wrote the lyrics) and his team, which consists of Singaporean artists JC Pang and maxleelilun, alongside Malalysia's JYPHAN.

This talented Southeast Asian crew from Bertyverse and Songtalle were tapped by Paramount Pictures, and worked closely with YUQI at the studios of famed South Korean entertainment company CUBE.

"The recording session was one of the best sessions I’ve had as a producer. She is definitely one of, or maybe the most hardworking and sincere artiste I’ve worked with in my career. She wasn’t actually feeling the best that day and almost wanted to reschedule, but hearing that we flew in all the way from Singapore, she insisted to try and it actually turned out amazing because since the song is a rock song, her vocal condition made her sound even more powerful," Ng shares.

The team was full of praise for YUQI, noting the tireless diligence and professionalism the Chinese singer and K-pop star.

"Throughout the entire session, she did not rest at all, and she kept trying takes after takes. Even when we had multiple takes, she still insisted to try because she kinda knew we weren’t exactly comfortable with the previous ones we had. Asked her if she needed any toilet breaks, and she was only focused on finishing. After which, she even got her team to get the latest album for us which she signed on the spot, and handed it to us. Also, she gave suggestions on various parts of the song, and was just very professional and respectful to everybody in the room."
