The nominees are assessed on those who have created a strong online community on TikTok, and are constantly inspiring or entertaining people with their drum videos, playing, and personality. Brandon is nominated alongside other drummers such as Eloy Casagrande (Slipknot), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Tré Cool (Green Day), Mario Duplantier (Gojira), Haley Brownell (Olivier Rodrigo) and Mike Reid (Justin Timberlake).

Voting for the Drumeo Awards is now open from 16 -21 December (US time). You can place your vote here.

This isn't the first time that Brandon has been recognised by Drumeo. He was also the first-ever Singaporean and Asian to be featured as an instructor on Drumeo in 2017, when he was flown into their Vancouver studios to perform and record live demonstrations and content.

In recent years, Brandon has made a name for himself as a rock drummer, drum teacher, and TikTok livestreamer. He has played with numerous bands and musicians, both locally and internationally, and has also performed at various music festivals and events with musicians such as Emil Chau, Richie Chen and Kiko Loureiro (Angra, Megadeth).

Most recently, Lion City Sailors Football Club commissioned Brandon to write and produce their official anthem 'Champions in Blue'. Blizzard Entertainment SEA also engaged Brandon to do for a song medley commemorating the journey from Diablo I to Diablo IV, entitled 'Diablo: A Journey, It All Ends With You'. Brandon drums on both songs, on top of being in charge of production.
