Rangga Jones returns with Everything I've Wanted to Say, a deeply personal sophomore album that unpacks the quiet storms of heartbreak, healing, and growth. Led by the introspective single 'Move On', the album captures Rangga at his most vulnerable and self-assured—balancing tender emotion with groove-rich R&B-pop production. Written during a solo trip to Tokyo, 'Move On' sets the tone for a record that’s less about grand declarations and more about the words we struggle to say out loud.
Across the album’s tracklist—featuring titles like 'Strangers', 'More Than That', and 'Love Again'—Rangga charts an emotional journey through love lost and self-rediscovery. The songs feel like pages from a private journal, stitched together by his signature smooth vocals and ear for clean, minimalist beats. Since debuting through Singapore’s Noise Music Mentorship Programme in 2020, Rangga has quietly become one of Southeast Asia’s most streamed independent artists, with over 144 million all-time plays and breakout success across the region.

‘Move On’ came to you during a solo trip to Tokyo. How do you think solitude and travel influence your songwriting?
I think travelling influences songwriting because you’re in a new environment rather than your usual. Which means you’ll probably come up with new and different ideas slightly faster than usual! Well at least for me that was the case.
You’ve described ‘Move On’ as a song that "wrote itself." Have you ever struggled with the opposite—when a song just won’t come together? How do you handle that?
Oh yea 100%! I always get writer’s block and have trouble finishing up songs. For me I usually get stuck on verses, those can sometimes get tricky but if I do feel like I’m stuck, I’ll just take a break and not think about it. The less I think about the song, the more ideas would come!

Your upcoming album is titled Everything I’ve Wanted to Say. What’s one thing you feel you can finally say through this record that you haven’t been able to express before?
To keep it simple, the one thing I can finally say is that I’ve found love again and I’m happier than ever!
The album’s tracklist includes titles like ‘Strangers,’ ‘More Than That,’ and ‘Love Again.’ Do these songs tell a continuous story, or do they each represent different moments in your emotional journey?
It’s kind of both. I’ve arranged the track list so that it tells my whole story on what I went through. First half of the album will be about anger, sadness, and acknowledgement. While the other halfis accepting, moving on and last but not least, finding love again.
Your debut EP was self-produced, and your music continues to amass millions of streams. How has your approach to music production evolved since your first release?
It’s still pretty much the same as last time! I still mostly produce myself but this time round I had the pleasure of working with a couple of friends on some songs. I think it’s fun to write with other people because you get to bounce off ideas with each other and can come up with cool ideas!
Your music resonates with people navigating love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. What’s one message you hope listeners take away from this new album?
You can never know what will happen in life and that’s what’s exciting about it. And sometimes there's no need to search for love! True love will come and find you when you least expect it.
If you could describe Everything I’ve Wanted to Say in three words, what would they be?
Heartbreak, truth, fate.
