Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp National Day Concert returns for its 6th edition on Sunday, 4 August to celebrate Singapore’s 59th birthday!
Themed "Our Home, Our Heart, Our Singapore", the free concert at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay promises to be a dazzling affair featuring an incredible line-up of local stars.
Top of the bill is is the first official live performance of the NDP 2024 theme song 'Not Alone' by Benjamin Kheng. Headliner Olivia Ong is set to perform '如燕 (Like a Swallow)', the popular theme song for Mediacorp’s hit drama The Little Nyonya, as well as her latest track '光影 (Azure)' in a special debut.
Singapore Idols Taufik Batisah and Sezairi will also serenade audiences with past NDP theme songs ('Stronger Together' and 'Breathing City') during a medley of National Day Parade favourites. Meanwhile famed Tamil musician Shabir and rapper Yung Raja will take to the stage to perform their latest tracks 'The Name Is' (an NDC exclusive) and 'High Fashion' respectively.
Veteran musicians like Liu Ling Ling, Rahimah Rahim and John Klass will also perform a medley of beloved local folk songs, including 'Singapore Town', '小人物的心声 (The Voice of the Ordinary People)', 'Munneru Vaalibaa (Move Forward, Youth)', and 'Geylang Sipaku Geylang (Come Home, Let’s Go Home) - backed by the rhythms of The Vasantham Boyz.
Before the concert begins at 7.30pm, the 5pm pre-show will include performances from indie singer-songwriter Joie Tan, mando-rock band AL4HA, and Jack & Rai, who will be supported by an inclusive live band from Faith Music Centre (a social enterprise that conducts music courses for individuals, including persons with disabilities).

Likewise, Amni Musfirah's rendition of 'Bunga Sayang' will be accompanied by a dance sequence from the Diverse Abilities Dance Collective (a community initiative led by local company Maya Dance Theatre which aims to foster inclusivity through dance).
In addition, Mediacorp artists Bonnie Loo, Desmond Ng, Jeremy Chan and JJ Neo will team-up with talents from reality singing competitions Juara Mic Junior and Yaar Antha Star for a fun cover BTS’ 'Butter'. Other highlights include Mediocre Haircut Crew's omarKENOBI, Rumble Music Collective and RRILEY.
Hosted by Avery Yeo from Mediacorp 987 and Hazelle Teo from Mediacorp YES 933, the event will also feature family-friendly games and activities, alongside breathtaking fireworks displays.
The Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp National Day Concert 2024 will take place from 4.30pm onwards on Sunday, 4 August at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay.
