Coming Up Roses are back with new material.
Today (26 Jan), the London-based and Singaporean indie rock band announced the launch of their single, ‘Don’t Let It Break Your Heart’, the quartet’s official release after their move to the United Kingdom in late 2022.
A hopeful track about staying strong while everything feels like it’s falling apart, the band worked with producer Joshua Rumble and homegrown mixing engineer Caesar Edmunds to craft the piece with “glistening wall-of-sound of guitars and saccharine vocals”, taking inspiration from Cocteau Twins and Slowdive.
“We’re excited to release this first single as we have a lot lined up this year. We’re always grateful for what we’ve been able to do together as a band in the past but we also can’t wait for what lies ahead,” frontwoman Emily Sera shared in a press release.
‘Don’t Let It Break Your Heart’ is now available for streaming on all major platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

The band also broke the news about their upcoming EP, which is set to be unveiled on 5 April and accompanied by snippets of live videos recorded during the creative process.
Later this year, Coming Up Roses will embark on a tour of France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Asia.
Recently, Emily (vocals and bass) and Darius Oon (guitar) welcomed Charlie Wilson (guitar) and Caleb Blake (drums) into the band, after the departure of former guitarist Lorenzo Romero and drummer Bruce Tan.
The ‘Would You Ever’ act have brought their music to various festivals including Canadian Music Week, Fred Perry Subculture, and The Alex Blake Charlie Sessions.
