I Play SG Music’s Music Aura Personality Quiz has officially stepped out into the real world, with a physical launch rolling out across MRT stations islandwide — turning everyday commutes into moments of music discovery.

From today, commuters can spot bold bulkheads and digital screens popping up at key stations including Bugis, Orchard, City Hall, Raffles Place, Newton, and Aljunied, with additional installations at Sembawang and Marsiling going live shortly after - inviting the public to scan QR codes and uncover their personal "music aura". The campaign transforms high-traffic transit spaces into interactive touchpoints that spotlight Singapore’s vibrant local music scene.

Produced by Bandwagon and Hear65 in conjunction with National Arts Council (NAC), Stellar Ace, and SMRT, the Music Aura quiz matches users to one of 10 personalities — from laid-back listeners to high-energy go-getters — before serving up a playlist of homegrown tracks tailored to their vibe.

Each station rollout features a curated line-up of Singapore artists, placing local music directly in commuters’ line of sight. The result is a rolling gallery of familiar faces and rising names — a reminder that Singapore music is everywhere, if you know where to look.

Beyond static visuals, the campaign leans into shareability. Videos of fans and artists taking the Music Aura quiz — including Quis and hideaways. — show how different personalities land on different auras and playlists, reinforcing the idea that music discovery can be playful, personal, and communal.

The physical rollout sits within the broader I Play SG Music initiative — a national music movement led by Hear65 and the National Arts Council to bring local music into everyday public spaces. The movement was inspired by findings from NAC’s 2021 study showing that many Singaporeans are open to local music but lack opportunities to discover it, and has been activating spaces like SMRT stations, bus interchanges, and community hubs since 2023 to place Singaporean artists and their music directly into commuters’ lives.

The Music Aura Personality Quiz campaign further brings local music culture directly into public transport spaces. By embedding discovery into MRT stations and trains, the collaboration reframes commuting time as an opportunity to engage with Singapore artists — whether through scanning a QR code, sharing results with friends, or diving into a new playlist on the way to work or school.
