Hear65’s I Play SG Music campaign has launched an updated playlist that you can enjoy during your daily commute.
Part of a wider collaboration between the National Arts Council and transportation service provider SMRT, I Play SG Music brings homegrown music into the spotlight at 125 MRT and LRT stations and bus interchanges across the island.
This month’s playlist refresh, the fourth since the campaign's launch last August, presents 37 tracks from over 39 artists across three themed sub-playlists, titled Morning, Afternoon and Evening.
Featuring more genres such as R&B, pop and indie rock, the updated playlist includes ‘Utopia Reimagined: house’ by multidisciplinary sound artist Weish, ‘Forever and More’ by Narysal, ‘Quiet’ by rhyu and more. Fans of Mandopop singer Tay Kewei can also look forward to catching her latest English track during their journey.
In line with the diversity the Lion City offers, the playlist specially features a range of non-English language songs from J.M3, Shelby Wang, ALYPH, Imran Ajmain, Stephen Zechariah and Niranjan Pandian.
Other highlights to look forward to are the sounds of Singaporean artists who are expanding their craft overseas, such as indie-pop singer hongjoin, alternative band Coming Up Roses, and producer and R&B artist Gen Neo.
