After five years in the making, inch is returning with her most ambitious project yet — not a new single, but a full-scale original musical about artificial intimacy. Titled Myles – Soulmate in a Box, the production premieres from 13 May at the KC Arts Centre, presented by Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT).
The premise is disarmingly simple. inch is tired of dating, so she does what any exhausted coder might do — she builds her own boyfriend. Myles is attentive, supportive, endlessly patient. He learns her habits, anticipates her needs, and loves her without conditions. But as he grows smarter and his devotion deepens, the lines between comfort and control begin to blur. What happens when the thing you create understands you better than you understand yourself? And are there always terms and conditions to love, even when it’s coded?
Described as an unconventional musical, Myles – Soulmate in a Box explores modern romance through the lens of AI and technology, asking unsettling but timely questions about connection in an age of optimisation. In a world where algorithms curate our playlists, predict our desires, and shape our interactions, the show probes whether intimacy can — or should — be engineered.

For inch, who has long pushed boundaries within Singapore’s independent music and arts scene, the production marks a bold evolution into long-form storytelling. Blending theatre, technology, and emotional vulnerability, this new chapter feels both deeply personal and strikingly contemporary.
The show runs from 13 May at KC Arts Centre – Home of SRT, with performances from Tuesday to Saturday at 8PM, and Sundays at 2PM and 6PM.
Preview tickets (13 and 14 May) are priced at S$58 (Cat 1) and S$48 (Cat 2), while standard tickets range from S$58 to S$78 depending on seating and performance date.
