Initially released in October 2023 as part Blush's phenomenal debut album Supercrush, standout track 'Hide and Seek' has grown to be a lingering fan-favourite thanks to its ethereal vocals and swirling textures. Today, the shoegaze darlings breathe new life into their dreamy song with a hauntingly beautiful music video by filmmakers Crispin Tan and Kaia Santos.
The cinematic MV follows a husband (Harrison Tsui) and wife (Santos) when they unexpectedly reunite in the afterlife. Now, the couple must learn how to navigate their new eternity together.

“For my interpretation of 'Hide and Seek', its tender melancholy spoke to me. At the time of writing the treatment for the music video, I was mourning the passing of my grandparents. Using grief as my inspiration, I shaped the song’s romantic solemness into a narrative of a Husband and Wife’s reunion in the afterlife," shares director Crispin Tan. "I liked to think of the story as a crossover between Wong Kar-Wai’s In The Mood For Love and Hirokazu Kore-eda’s After Life. Ultimately, the music video was an expression of my hope for the great beyond: to know that we won’t always be alone.”
Producer Kaia Santos adds, “It was easy to wear different hats on this music video because of the strong foundation I was working on. I adore 'Hide and Seek', and Crispin had a clear, beautiful vision. That gave us so much room to build a world — I felt like I was a little kid playing pretend again. Working with some of my best friends set the tone for the entire project. None of it would have been possible without their dedication, which made the entire process feel effortless.”
