Sing60 Festival brings together icons, indie heroes & new-gen stars in landmark celebration

This 6 and 7 December, Bandwagon is joining Singapore’s biggest homegrown music celebration yet at Sing60 Music Festival – a two-day outdoor blowout at Fort Canning Park marking 60 years of Singapore music. Organised by The Rice Company Limited and produced by Global Cultural Alliance, Sing60 transforms the traditional national concert into a multi-stage, genre-spanning festival honouring iconic voices, championing new talent, and uniting generations of music lovers.

As the official curator of the Bandwagon Sessions, Bandwagon brings its fan-first editorial legacy to the live stage with a stacked lineup of indie, alternative, and legacy bands performing both original songs and covers of influential local tracks. Saturday’s lineup features a mix of high-energy returns and breakout moments with A Vacant Affair, Caracal, Carpet Golf, Curb, and Tiramisu featuring Bloco Singapura.

On Sunday, the journey continues with Motifs, Pleasantry, sub:shaman, The Great Spy Experiment, and Vegtable x Intermission. Fans can expect reunion shows from acts like A Vacant Affair, performing live for the first time since 2019, and Caracal, back with new material from their 2024 release Effigies. The Great Spy Experiment and Pleasantry return with new chapters after long hiatuses, while exciting cross-genre collaborations like Tiramisu’s art-punk meets percussion fusion with Bloco Singapura and a debut live set from Vegtable and Intermission promise something entirely fresh. Rising names such as Carpet Golf and Motifs represent the thriving new wave of local alternative music.

Over at Homegrown Icons, held on the Fort Canning Green main stage, Singapore’s most beloved solo artists will perform originals and tributes to the music that shaped their careers. On Saturday, audiences will be treated to sets by Amni Musfirah with ChildAid Alumni, Benjamin Kheng, Charlie Lim, Corrinne May, Imran Ajmain, LADY KASH, lullaboy, and Shye, with a special Gift-A-Guitar showcase celebrating young musicians who’ve gained access to music education through arts philanthropy.

The lineup continues on Sunday with Dru Chen, Glenn Yong, Iman Fandi, Mavis Hee, Shabir, shazza, and the Talentime All-Stars – a nostalgic tribute featuring Ann Hussein, Clement Chow, Faridah Ali, Gerry Rezel, and Max Surin. This stage will also open with a dance performance by Under The Bridge collective and includes a special ChildAid segment supported by UOB, spotlighting the next generation of performers in support of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.

Meanwhile, deep inside a WWII bunker at Fort Canning’s Battlebox, the Bunker B2B programme redefines the underground scene with a lineup of rare back-to-back DJ sets, ambient sessions, and live electronic collaborations. On Saturday, festivalgoers can catch sets from Daryl Knows b2b Mako, DuriO b2b nydthakid, Ferng b2b GTHB, and Ollie Des b2b HBN, alongside a live electronic performance by INTRGNT x Sgstingray. Ambient sets will include Debbie Chia b2b The Weatherman and Jean Reiki b2b Mervin Wong, while the vinyl-only room showcases KidG b2b Bongomann and Itch b2b Sadat.

On Sunday, the energy builds with more boundary-pushing pairings like Aldrin b2b Loyboy, Aresha b2b Krstn, Darren Dubwise b2b DJ New Masculine, and EJ Missy b2b Taz Angullia. The evening will also feature a live experimental set by sl_owtalk x deførmed, bringing noise rock and left-field energy into one genre-bending performance.

Adding to the celebration, the Festival Village, co-curated with F ZINE, brings together Singapore-made food, fashion, lifestyle products, and design. The marketplace-style village reflects the festival’s “Made in Singapore” spirit and provides a vibrant, family-friendly space for exploration, shopping, and connection.

Sing60 isn’t just about the music—it’s also a movement of inclusion and access. With a pay-it-forward ticketing model, every ticket sold enables a child or youth from an underserved background to attend the festival, ensuring the next generation gets to experience the magic of live music. The Gift-A-Guitar initiative, part of the festival’s philanthropic arm, further supports aspiring musicians with instruments and lessons funded by proceeds from a historic guitar auction.

Tickets are available via SISTIC at S$40 for a 1-Day Pass (20% off Early Bird promotion until 31 August) and S$60 for a 2-Day Pass. From 1 September, tickets can also be redeemed using Culture Pass credits as part of a nationwide initiative to boost engagement with local arts.

From tear-jerking tributes and fiery reunion sets to cutting-edge electronica and first-time collabs, Sing60 Music Festival – with Bandwagon leading the indie charge – is shaping up to be a landmark celebration of Singapore’s sound and soul. Follow @sing60fest for more updates.
