Mediacorp is set to launch Kaki Nyanyi, a groundbreaking Malay reality singing competition that aims to spotlight Singapore’s musical talent and foster collaboration among local artists. Created by the team behind Berani Nyanyi?, the show will feature 24 contestants—comprising singers and music content creators—who will compete in trios, testing their vocal harmony and creativity in a series of musical challenges. Guided by Mediacorp’s Anugerah 2005 champion Hyrul Anuar and renowned vocal coach Babes Conde, the contestants will reimagine popular songs, experiment with new compositions, and even stage mini-concerts.
Judges for the show include Singaporean stars Hady Mirza, Taufik Batisah, and Sezairi, as well as regional celebrities like Edry Abdul Halim and Syafinaz Selamat and many more. The competition will culminate in a grand prize of $20,000 and a collaborative single with judge Edry Abdul Halim. Audiences can catch Kaki Nyanyi live every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. on mewatch, Suria, and Mediacorp’s TikTok channel, with additional behind-the-scenes content available across its platforms.
A special pre-show event, Kaki Nyanyi Live and Loaded, will be held at the Esplanade on 26 November, featuring live performances from all contestants and appearances by judges Najip Ali, Sezairi, and Taufik Batisah. With Kaki Nyanyi, Mediacorp reaffirms its commitment to celebrating Singapore’s creative talent and supporting the growth of the local music scene.
