Singapore Writers Festival 2024 pays tribute to underground icon Chris Ho with 'X Marks the Spot' panel

Musician, DJ, author, filmmaker and champion of the underground scene, Chris Ho was (and remains) one of the most important and influential figures in Singapore's music scene.

3 years after his tragic passing in 2021, Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) 2024 will be honouring the pioneering icon through a panel called X Marks the Spot: A Tribute to Chris Ho.

Speakers such as music journalist Eddino Abdul Hadi, musician Leslie Low (Humpback Oak, The Observatory, Hanging Up The Moon), poet and writer Yeow Kai Chai, and pop culture historian CT Lim will gather to reflect upon the storied legacy Ho has left behind.

Discussion topics include his books, as well as his music, ranging from his records as a solo artist to his work as frontman of bands like Transformer, Zircon Lounge and Zircon Gov. Pawn Starz. Radio DJ Melanie Oliveiro will moderate the session, while Leslie Low will be performing.

The event takes place on Sunday, 10 November (8PM to 10PM) at The Arts House, Chamber. Admission is free. Click here for more information.

UPDATE: Due to strong interest, the venue has been changed to the Victoria Concert Hall.
