Singaporean producer Daryl Hor has released his debut single ‘New Year’ under the moniker Sun Cell on the 31st of December via homegrown music label spikyfruits.

Timed in at three minutes, the chill-wave track encased in warm and evocative synths embodies the hopefulness that comes with a new year, with Hor singing in its reprise: “New leaf, new life, new year.”
“The idea of turning over a new leaf after a New Year is something that has been imprinted in our collective consciousness, or at the very least mine, and at no other point in my life have I felt that concept resonate with me stronger than it has now.” proclaimed Hor in a press release statement.
‘New Year’ marks the first single Hor has released after an eventful 2021 where he was shortlisted as the top 20 finalists for Vans Musicians Wanted Singapore, as well as engineering work for labelmates RENE and Royal Estate.
