Voices of Singapore Ladies Choir (VSL) will be commemorating its 10th anniversary with a special concert this year.
At the upcoming VSL10: A Journey Beyond Music-making, the homegrown choir will perform pieces from Singaporean composers Dr. Darius Lim and Dick Lee, folk favourites such as 'Dayung Sampan' and 'Munaerru Vaalibaa', as well as choral classics and gospel numbers in celebration of womanhood.
Scheduled to take place at the Victoria Concert Hall at 5 PM on 21 April, the concert, will also include appearances by alumni of the VSL, members of the VOS Silver Voices, VOS Starlight Voices, and children of the VSL.

Made up of semi-professional vocalists, musicians, music educators, and non-professionals, VSL is Singapore's first independent choral ensemble to feature an all-female lineup. Since its formation in 2014, the choir has toured Europe and picked up accolades at the 2016 Cracovia Cantans International Choir Competition and the 2021 World Choir Festival.
Last year, VSL took home the Grand Prix at Slovakia's 16th International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music, becoming the first Singaporean choir to do so in the event's history.
