Singaporean composer and conductor Darius Lim named as Board Member of the International Federation for Choral Music

Singaporean composer-conductor Dr. Darius Lim has been elected to the Board of Directors of the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM).

The ICFM was formed to promote communication and exchange between choral musicians around the globe, and Dr. Lim is set to take on a three-year term.

"Collaborating with my fellow board members, many of whom I have long admired for their trailblazing and inspirational work in their respective countries, will be an exciting endeavour," Dr. Lim shares.

Lim, who also serves as the Artistic Director of Voices of Singapore, hopes to “promote Singaporean and Asian choral cultures to the world and to effect positive change through choral singing".

Concurrent with his appointment to the IFCM board, Dr Lim is also the Board Chairman of the World Alliance of Children's Choir and a Council Member in the Asia Pacific Choral Council

Voices of Singapore Children's Choir will be the first children's choir from Singapore invited to perform at the famed Carnegie Hall in June, showcasing their interpretation of folk songs from Singapore and international choral pieces.
