Haneri has unveiled her third single of the year.
Released on Friday (21 July), the ethereal number, titled 'Daydream', follows 'Worry' and 'Curious', which were launched in March and May respectively, and will be featured on her forthcoming EP, Love (Part Three).
Set to consist of six songs, the project is scheduled to be released in January 2024.
A showcase of Haneri's vocal abilities, 'Daydream' sees the pop singer-songwriter take on the point of view of an individual who yearns for a perfect love story with a special person despite knowing how unlikely they are to achieve it.
According to Haneri, who was formerly known as Daphne Khoo, the decision to add the song to her EP's tracklist came after its demo version received a warm reception from listeners on social media.
An alumnus of the local singing competition Singapore Idol, Haneri has, in addition to making her own music, worked with artists such as Charlie Puth, Kehlani, and K-pop group f(x)'s Amber and Luna. More recently, she teamed up with homegrown producer Foxela for the track 'Inventing Light'.
