A new album from yeule will be arriving later this year.
Slated for a 22 September release, softscars was announced in conjunction with the launch of the Singaporean singer-songwriter's latest single, 'dazies' and its accompanying b-side, 'fish in the pool', last Wednesday (12 July).

Coming after 2019's Serotonin II and 2022's Glitch Princess, the record will be yeule's third studio album. Described as a new chapter of the 25-year-old's journey, softscars was written and produced by yeule and fellow Singaporean artist Kin Leonn.
Guernsey-born songwriter and producer Mura Masa and American singer-songwriter, producer, and guitarist Chris Greatti were also brought on board as co-producers.
yeule said: “I was forcing myself to separate myself from my artist persona and trying to tone myself down because I felt like people wouldn’t like me if I was really that."
"By becoming the otherworldly figure that once was of their imagination, they have now bridged the fractured identities that could only exist through different contexts and forms," they continued.
Birthed by Nat Ćmiel as a means of self-expression, yeule is a musical project that puts forth a "post-human world" in which its inhabitants can freely express themselves without being restricted by their identities. In May of this year, yeule released their first track as a member of English record label Ninja Tune, 'sulky baby'.
