In the heart of New York City, homegrown singer Iman Fandi is currently featured on a billboard in busy Times Square.
Put up on 19 June, the popular artist is the face of Spotify’s EQUAL campaign, a global initiative by the music streaming service that aims to support women in the music industry "through education, inspiration and networking opportunities."

The only daughter of local football icon Fandi Ahmad and South African Wendy Jacobs isn't the only Singaporean to have been spotlighted at the popular Midtown Manhattan hotspot. In previous years, artists such as Stefanie Sun, Tanya Chua, Shye, Linying, Jasmine Sokko, Jean Seizure and Shazza have also been marqueed as part of the campaign.
Formerly an athlete and model just like her parents, Iman successfully transitioned to music in 2021 with singles such as 'Timeframe' and 'Love Me Little More' garnering over one million streams on Spotify.
Her latest single 'Leave You On Read' was released this past April.
