In recent years, SingPop has been doing extraordinary work to nurture and promote Singapore's musical talent. Through initiatives like their Music Academy Programme and SingVoice, the registered charity provides platforms and resources for emerging artists to create, perform, and publish their works.
Now, SingPop has announced that they will be hosting an exclusive music production and songwriting masterclass featuring international music producers Phil Schwan and AZODi. This 1-day event called The Art of Hit-Making: Pop Music Secrets will take place on 26 October at the Lifelong Learning Institute - offering aspiring musicians, producers, and pop enthusiasts the opportunity to learn from 2 of the industry's top hitmakers.

The masterclass will give participants an over-the-shoulder look at Phil Schwan and AZODi’s creative process. Both producers have worked with renowned K-pop and Asian pop artists such as LE SSERAFIM, Astro, Kim Woojin, and Kwon Eunbi. Participants will get a behind-the-scenes walkthrough of hit songs, learn industry secrets, and gain valuable insights into songwriting, production, and career development. During the masterclass, participants will also get the chance to:

Unlike typical songwriting workshops, The Art of Hit-Making focuses on everything around being a successful music creator. It goes beyond the technical aspects to include real-world advice on branding, networking, and sustaining a career in a rapidly changing music landscape. This is the first time these international producers are sharing their insights in Singapore, making this a must-attend event for emerging musicians.
This masterclass is part of SingPop’s Music Academy Programme, aimed at empowering Singaporean musicians by giving them the tools to thrive in the global music scene. This event is also supported by NAC's Sustain the Arts (stART) Fund and COMPASS, with proceeds contributing to the development of future music projects and showcases for local talent.
