On 9 August, Singapore’s 59th National Day Parade (NDP) is poised to be a spectacular celebration of unity and diversity, under the theme ‘Together, As One United People’. Hosted at the Padang, this year's event will feature the nation's rich cultural tapestry and resilient spirit.
it was revealed that the NDP 2024 Show will be divided into six chapters — 'United We Stand', 'Together, We Keep Singapore Stronger', 'Together We Achieve', 'We Embrace Our Diversity', 'We Uplift One Another' and 'Our Future, We Create'.
The pre-parade show, hosted by Joakim Gomez, Sonia Chew, Siti Khalijah, and Ebi Shankara, will feature beloved mascots such as Nila the Sporty Lion, Sharity the Elephant and many more, with performances by gymnasts from the Singapore Gymnastics National Training Centre, skaters from the Swift Skating Academy, dancers, a marching band, and a choir. This year's event will feature over 3,000 performers, comprising of students from different Ministry of Education schools such as, Valour Primary School, Naval Base Secondary School, Queensway Secondary School, Seng Kang Secondary School and Yuying Secondary School (just to name a few), as well as Martial House, LASELLE College of the Arts, Republic Polytechnic, the Music and Drama Company (MDC), the People's Association, Soka Gakkai Singapore and Voices of Singapore.
This year's NDP show boasts a stellar lineup of talented performing artists. The impressive roster includes singers Amni Musfirah, Shabir Sulthan, Joanna Dong, shazza, and weish, along with cellist Olivia Chuang. Of course, the highlight will be Benjamin Kheng, who will be performing this year's NDP theme song, 'Not Alone.'
Those attending this year's NDP show will be treated to a Dynamic Defence Display (D3) for the first time ever at the Padang. extending to the waters off Marina Bayfront. This segment will demonstrate Singapore’s readiness to handle various threats, combining live-action and multimedia elements. It will showcase the nation's integrated response to air, maritime, digital, and land threats, underscoring the importance of resilience and preparedness.

Alongside the live performances, the NDP 2024 Show will present three engaging short films that spotlight 'Our People,' highlighting key themes of harmony, compassion, and aspiration. These films will enrich the event by showcasing the values that unite and inspire our community.
