Pleasantry make a stellar return with first new release in nearly a decade, 'Constellation' – listen

10 years after their last album Synapses, and nine years after their split EP with Starry Eyed Cadet, beloved indie rock band Pleasantry are finally putting out brand new music!

Released via KittyWu Records, the quintet's latest single is entitled 'Constellation'. The upbeat anthem has become a fan-favourite staple of Pleasantry's live repertoire in recent times, so it's especially exciting that the band has made the studio version available to stream.

In a statement, Pleasantry revealed that 'Constellation' "captures a moment of surrender, when the weight of the walls we build around ourselves finally gives way. The freedom we experience when we release our defences and step into the unknown. In those fleeting moments of clarity, letting go becomes a way to connect more deeply to the present, to embrace the beauty of being fully open and unguarded, trusting that in surrendering, we find something far greater than control ever offered."

The stellar song is the first official preview of Pleasantry's long-awaited, highly-anticipated new album entitled Slow Burn, which should be released sometime in the coming weeks (no, for real this time).
