In addition to this news, shazza has also announced that she will dropping a new single titled ‘Rain in Manhattan’ with homegrown singer-songwriter Umar Sirhan. This single comes as part of her upcoming regional collaborative EP.
After a series of upbeat and fast-paced songs, shazza will shift gears and deliver an emotional ballad with her forthcoming track, which is set to be released on 24 May.

‘Rain in Manhattan’ narrates the story of two love-struck individuals in New York City (NYC) who find their way back to each other after taking time apart to find themselves. The song is a follow-up to her hit ‘Right Person, Wrong Time’ and uncovers themes of rediscovered love.
As its name suggests, the song mentions various places in NYC, including Manhattan. The young singer romanticises these locations to capture both physical and emotional distance between two lovers. New York, a city of both crushed and fulfilled dreams, parallels the unpredictable nature of romance.
Shazza shared the inspiration behind the song: “I love the fact that I get to tell special stories in my songs that hold profound meaning in my life. With ‘Rain In Manhattan,’ I wanted to take my listeners on a sensorial experience of this story, not just to immerse them in the song but to take them on a fantastical journey with us to New York and back.”
shazza and Umar wrote the single in 2018 and first performed it in 2023 at shazza’s sold-out debut concert, Chapter One.

Shazza expressed her excitement about the collaboration: "I am so happy to be kicking the project off with this song, given how much it means to me. My main goal is to explore as much as I can with this collaborative EP, and a big hope of mine is also to travel the world and experience sharing my music with audiences beyond our borders.”
