Some of the most exciting Mandarin hip-hop artists from either side of the causeway will come together for a concert this year.
Scheduled to be held at the Esplanade Annexe Studio at Esplanade — Theatres on the Bay on 3 February, DRINK Entertainment's SINMAHUI Hip Hop Night will include performances from both rising acts as well as familiar names from Singapore and Malaysia. Set to represent the Lion City at the inaugural edition of the event are renowned rapper ShiGGa Shay, the multi-talented Tosh Rock, R&B and hip-hop artist, songwriter, and producer Zadon, and rising acts J.M3 and Cykko.
Meanwhile, CINA music rapper Dato' Maw and hip hop groups S.A.C and Ringgit Mob will make up the contingent from neighbouring Malaysia.
Hailed as a "first-of-its-kind" concert, the event is part of the Esplanade's in::music series — which gathers "inspiring" Chinese musicians — and will be held during this year's Huayi - Chinese Festival of Arts.
