Singapore’s indie music scene is in for a treat as local band Stopgap is set to perform alongside Chinese rock band Mimik Banka for a highly anticipated co-headline show on 7 November. The concert promises a night of electrifying indie rock energy and will be held at a secret location, disclosed to ticket holders just one day before the event.
Stopgap, a 5-member Singaporean indie rock band formed in 2011, has gained a reputation for their infectious grooves and energetic performances. Known for their successful debut album Totems in 2015, they’ve performed at various festivals and toured internationally, including India and Australia.
Mimik Banka, hailing from Beijing, will be performing in Singapore for the first time. The band blends indie rock with synth-dream pop and has garnered critical acclaim, winning EP of the year at the 17th Freshmusic Awards.
Organized by Freshmusic and local promoter 1 Degree Off, the show will start at 8 PM, with tickets priced at $30, and an early bird discount of $25. Fans are able to get their tickets here.
