shazza and Cross Ratio Entertainment has partnered with MIJ Hub, a leading voice in special needs education to raise awareness, change perceptions, and generate crucial funds for Singapore’s special needs community.
Their mission is conveyed through a powerful music video for shazza’s single ‘All You Really Need (Is Love)’, which was released on 9 October, ahead of World Kindness Day.
Directed by the talented WanDanger, the video features shazza alongside special needs students, caregivers, and educators from MIJ Hub. Among them are Special Olympics cup stacking medallist Hakeem Hamzah, Nur Aisha Sa’ad who shares her artworks with the world under the pseudonym Catbee, and Siti Nur’ Ain Salleh who, like many of the students at MIJ Hub, learnt independence through cooking and baking for Ashraf’s Cafe, an outlet run by MIJ Hub to empower students with job skills and promote societal acceptance.
To highlight the joy and capabilities of the special needs community, the video conveys a simple yet powerful message: love and humanity are far more valuable than material wealth. It encapsulates the emotions, challenges, and triumphs of these individuals and demonstrates how care, patience, inclusivity and understanding can bring out their incredible talents. It’s a moving reminder that the special needs community deserves recognition and support.
‘This project is about more than just music,’ shazza said. ‘It’s about celebrating the abilities of individuals with special needs and showing the world what they are capable of. I’m honored to be part of this movement to spread love and kindness through my music.’
This is in support of MIJ Hub's fundraising campaign Lift A Life Fund, which hopes to raise $2.4 million in order to ease the financial burdens of 112 underprivileged special needs individuals and their families, and to continue allowing all 410 students in their care, subsidised tuition fees. You can make a difference by donating to MIJ Hub and spreading the word about this worthy cause.
