The Great Spy Experiment are back!
After an eight-year hiatus, the homegrown indie rock band have made a long-awaited return to the music landscape in Singapore with a new two-track single, ‘Sanctuary / Secrets’.
Released on 6 October, the new track intends to showcase the authentic sound of the band, which is described as “powerful” but also “moving”.

Since their inception in 2006, they have released a slew of notable tracks, including ‘Class ‘A’ Love Affair 2007’ from their debut album Flower Show Riots, and ‘Wasted’ from their Litmus album in 2013.
Billed as indie rock veterans, The Great Spy Experiment are set to reignite the indie rock soundscapes in Singapore this weekend at Baybeats 2023. With a unique blend of indie rock, pop, and a hint of electronic dance, they create music with “the dance floor in mind and bedroom at heart”.
Performing at Powerhouse² (Singtel Waterfront Theatre at Esplanade) on 8 October, 8:20 PM, the five-piece outfit will celebrate their fourth appearance on the Baybeats stage. Their last Baybeats appearance was in June 2012.
